Message from the Government of #Tigray's Central Command.

Ethiopia's Amhara region had been under the control of #Tigrayan soldiers for more than a month, but they now claim to have withdrew from those areas.

According to a statement from the Tigrayan government's central command, Tigrayan forces had made geographic adjustments by leaving Amhara territories they had entered in the south.

According to the statement, the Tigray army had been carrying out this decision for the previous three days on its own volition, independent of what had happened on the battlefield there. It threatened, "This constantly defeated force should know that we can rejoin those territories at any time and in any route to ensure our survival."

After the government of Tigray repeatedly rejected peace offers, the Ethiopian regime, working in tandem with the Eritrean government and Amhara forces, commenced its invasion more than a month ago.

The declaration stated that during the month of August, these combined forces made every effort to seize Mekelle by commencing their main onslaught in the south.

By launching assaults in all directions, they have expanded the scale and extent of the invasion by using the combined forces of Ethiopia and Eritrea. As a result, the people of Tigray have been forced to engage in a fierce struggle for survival as a nation.

According to the statement, the Tigray forces were able to maintain control over substantial portions of the Amhara region after successfully repelling the enemy's attacks on the Southern Front, launching a counteroffensive, and defeating the enemy's enormous force.

It continued that despite the enemy's continuous attempts to seize control of this front, nothing changed save for the enemy's ongoing losses and devastation.

After defeating the opposing army that was in this area, we were forced to invade Amhara, but not because we wanted to take over Amhara territory. The goal was to attack the enemy at a time and location of our choosing rather than to turn Amhara country into a battlefield.

The purpose of doing this, according to the statement, was to make the opponent more vulnerable and force it to the bargaining table. However, it underlined that in practice, the enemy has utterly rejected communication and diplomatic solutions and is making every effort to use force to achieve its goals. statement read, "The fascistic gang of Abiy Ahmed is working day and night to exterminate the people of Tigray, doing solely what it is commanded to do, slavishly obeying orders from the despotic Isaias Afeworki and handing over Ethiopia's money and manpower to him."

The Central Command of the Government of Tigray stated that in order to effectively face the existential threat looming over its people as a result of the joint invasion, tactical geographic adjustments have been deemed to be necessary.
