The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that despite ongoing complaints from the Ethiopian government against its Director General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, it will continue to seek assistance for the war-torn people of Tigray.

Last Friday, the Ethiopian government accused Dr. Tedros of wrongdoing and disseminating false information and supporting the TPLF.


The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that the Ethiopian government has filed a lawsuit.


However, the organization said it will continue to ask the Ethiopian government to provide basic services to the 7 million people of Tigray State.


Last Friday, the Ethiopian government filed a complaint after Dr. Tedros said the government was blocking access to medicine and life-saving supplies in the Tigray region.

According to Deutsche Welle Radio, the Ethiopian envoy to the United Nations,   expressed that Dr tedros's  political support and asked him to stay away from Ethiopia.


In response to Dr. Tedros' comments, Amhara and Afar regional officials strongly criticized Dr. Tedros for saying that he was speaking for the TPLF and that he had never spoken about the TPLF's atrocities in Afar and Amhara.
